Agreeable

Pic by: hoangnam_nguyen http://www.flickr.com/photos/nguyenhoangnam1142002/

This week’s definition:

Agreeable:
Willing or ready to agree or consent. To one’s liking

Stupid things I behave disagreeably about:
How he puts the dishes in the dishwasher the wrong way
Why he can never find a pair of reading glasses, even though I have bought him abouy a millions pairs.
Correcting him all the time because I know better. (which I really do, by the way)

How can I just be generally agreeable today?

Miss You More

“I miss you even more than I could have believed; and I was prepared to miss you a good deal.”
Vita Sackville-West

Everyone wants to be missed. How will you miss him today?

More Than Chocolate

This week’s sticky note:

I love you more than chocolate!

Not sure he’ll believe it, but it’s worth a try.

Turn Down

Instead of stabbing:

Turn down his side

I haven’t slept well since having children. Maybe mother’s never sleep well again! The idea that someone WANTS me to sleep and get a good night’s rest is just such a symbol of caring. It might be for him, too!

Leaving chocolate on the pillow is optional. But what does chocolate say to you?

Endless

Pic by: TheFriendlyFiend http://www.flickr.com/photos/98063470@N00/

This week’s definition:

Endless:
Having or seeming to have no end, limit or conclusion. Boundless, infinite, incessant.

Things that could be endless:

How much I love him
How many things I can think of to show him love
My commitment
My energies directed toward doing good to him
My encouraging words
The good things I have to say about him
The number of cookies I bake for him

Or these things?
How many things he does that bug me
The number of ways I show I think he’s stupid

Let’s pick the first list!

Mignon McLaughlin

Even when he is driving me crazy…how boring would life be without him?

Can We Have Sex?

Pic by: Eric Kilby http://www.flickr.com/photos/ekilby/

This week’s sticky note:

“Can we have sex?”

You KNOW this is going to work. You should leave this sticky note near the condoms or other appropriate area.

Why do men want us to suggest sex?

Something Manly

Pic by: derekkeats http://www.flickr.com/photos/dkeats/

As tempting as it is to want to stab him, instead:

Ask him to do something manly!

Need to have that spider killed? Fix the sink? Lift something heavy? Open that jar? Today, ask him to do something manly in the attitude that exudes the fact that you are a somewhat helpless woman who needs a man. His testosterone will shoot through the roof.

What manly thing might you ask him to do?

Adorn

This week’s definition:

Adorn:
To decorate or add beauty. To make more pleasing, attractive, impressive.

I’m always telling my husband that I am merely decorative! But it is true that he likes me to go with him to some business stuff because he looks more normal and trustable when clients/business associates see that he is married.

How can we add beauty to his life? Make him look more impressive?

Love or Power

“Where love rules, there is no will to power; where power predominates, there is love lacking. The one is the shadow of the other.”
Carl Jung

Would we rather have love or power? I don’t want to be his mom!

In what areas are you trying to have power over him?
